Childgrove, Arr. for Flute, Harp & Cello by Tanah Haney. With counter melody based on "The Foggy Dew".
The counter-melody for Childgrove is based on the tune "The Foggy Dew". The part for flute (or other tune instrument) starts with the tune, then goes into the harmony and counter-melody. The harp part (which can also be played on keyboard) begins with a simple harmony, moves to the tune, and back to the harmony part. The part for cello (or other bass instrument) begins with a bass line, goes into the counter melody, and ends on the tune. The result is an interweaving of tune, harmony and counter-melody to create a rich, haunting arrangement. A truly unique treatment of two familiar tunes. In D minor, suitable for lever or pedal harp. $5.95 CDN Order Now

The Butterfly, Arr. for Flute, Harp & Cello, or other 3 part ensemble by Tanah Haney. Originally arranged for flute, harp & cello, this arrangement is also suitable for other combinations of one tune instrument (see note, below), harp or keyboard, and one bass instrument. The tune is repeated three times. The first time, the flute leads the melody. The second time, the harp takes over the melody and the flute plays a quick, flowing counter-melody - you can really imagine the butterfly flitting about! The third time is another variation, with the flute leading the tune once more. In the key of E minor, suitable for lever or pedal harp. Note: the range of the flute part is fairly extensive; any other tune instrument playing this part will need a range of at least middle C up to a D two octaves above middle C.
